Happy Mother’s Day!

I hope and pray that each of you has a FANTASTIC Mother’s Day today!

If you are not a mom – love on your mom today.

If you don’t have a good relationship with your mom – give thanks that she chose life for you, as this world would not be the same without you (or her)!

If you want to be a mom one day, or might be struggling with becoming one – I pray an abundance of blessings upon you today!  May your heart’s desire be filled!  In the meantime – take that awesome Mama Love of yours and love on some kiddos who might not have a mom around.

And let me encourage those of you who have wondered if adopting a child would “feel the same” as having a biological child . . . I’ve done both – and I can tell you that the love I felt in my heart, the longing for my child, the aching because they were not in my arms yet – was the same for both my biological children and adopted child.  It truly is a miracle from God as to how He does that!  I remember the moment my husband and I finally agreed that we had a daughter in Guatemala we needed to find – it was as if someone had just taken a chunk out of my heart, stolen one of my kids, and now I desperately needed to find her!  Amazing!

If you have recently lost your mom and are grieving that loss today . . . I am so sorry.  I know this must be a difficult day.  Let me encourage you to enjoy the great memories you have of her, and I pray the aching and sorrow in your heart will be filled with fullness of Joy today – thanking God for the life He gave your mom (and thus gave you)!  What a blessing!

Happy Mother’s Day to you Moms!

You truly are amazing women!!

Keep up the GREAT job you are doing . . . and if you mess up . . . there’s another day tomorrow!  I thank God that “His mercies are NEW every morning!”  🙂

Mom Song

And just to make you laugh today – if you haven’t heard this yet – you’ve got to listen to it!  Anita Renfroe’s “Mom Song”.  So true!!!

How are you celebrating Mother’s Day today?

I slept in (a little), and I’m now packing for a week of fun in NYC (though – it looks like it might rain on some of my fun! 🙁  Oh well.  At least I’m getting away for a rest and vacation!).  Going to have fun with my hubby, and then later in the week with my sister!  Can’t wait!
